2007 X-Prize Cup

My Dad and I hooked up with the Rawson's and went to the X-Prize cup in 2007. There were less rockets and more airplanes than we expected, but it was a great air show. Got lots of detailed pictures of many airplane systems. Supposedly this is the last time the F-117 will be shown in public, as it is being retired.

If you have comments or feedback, feel free to leave it here. If you'd like to commission a custom 3D model, I can help you with that.

A-10 Tank Hunter. I can't remember what part of the plane this is. Some sort of piston obviously.

A-10 Tank Hunter. A couple of the spent cartridges in the unloading chain.

A-10 Tank Hunter. The main ammo drum, holds 1174 rounds. This thing is big!

A-10 Tank Hunter, the business end. The main cannon has surprisingly deep rifling grooves.

A-10 Tank Hunter. The primary firing mechanism, just fore of the nose gear.

A10 Tank Hunter, Nice overview of the fore gun access hatch and mechanism.

A10 Tank Hunter Nose Gear. You can see the fore and rear access hatches for the gatling cannon at the left and right sides of the picture, respectively.
