My sister and I set off into the great unknown... Zion National Park
My pumpkin from Halloween 2005. I would have liked to get a picture of it all lit up, but this is the best you're going to get this year. I didn't light it on fire like back in 2004, but we can't always be burning things.
Angels LandingTrail to Angel's Landing
This pictures looks down the trail from Angel's Landing in Zion national park. My Dad and two of my brothers set off up the mountain, seeking to reach the peak. We left my two younger brothers at the difficult spots furthur down the trail, and at the point where this picture was taken it was just Dad and I.

Paul the EngineerMe as a Child
My Dad sent me this picture of myself, probably about two or three years old. The story is that I had stacked up all those boxes (of magnetic tape?) so that I could climb up and push the buttons.
They always said I was destined to be an engineer, but maybe I was just curious?

Child Under ChairCharlette sleeping under a chair
What can I say? Sometimes kids get tired and fall asleep in strange places. At least no one will trip over her there.
Spring in Seattle came early this year, and my daughter brought me a brace of early blooms. I arranged them into this floral septet.

Ice Caves KidsCarrying three kids at the Big Four Ice Caves
We went hiking back in September 2013 at the Granite Falls Ice Caves.
At the time this was the whole family, Leah, Charlette, and Teddy. They were so tired... Here's to hoping that they will all carry me on hikes in about ten years!
